About Us
Who We Are
The AreitoTaino Group is a Queens-based nonprofit 501(c)(3) performing arts organization dedicated to building a more inclusive, equitable, and vibrant creative community. We believe that artistic excellence and diverse representation are not separate goals—they are one and the same.
Founded in 2024 by three visionary Latina women, The AreitoTaino Group (ATG) is dedicated to empowering diverse voices through inclusive arts education and performance opportunities. AreitoTaino was born from a simple yet powerful idea: talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. we serve artists, educators, and cultural leaders, providing equitable access to training, mentorship, and performance opportunities.
What We Do
We create pathways. Through hands-on programs like our Summer Youth Playwriting Program and Copyright & Entertainment Legal Clinics for Artists, we bridge the gap between raw talent and sustainable creative careers. We produce work that challenges norms, celebrates cultural richness, and reflects the full diversity of New York.
Our Approach
We invest in artists the industry overlooks. AreitoTaino Group seeks out exceptional talent in disenfranchised communities and gives them the resources, support, and platform they need to create at the highest level.
Our productions tell the stories that reflect our communities’ we serve—the ones that don’t often make it to traditional stages. We bring together diverse artists throughout the entire creative process, from development to performance, because the best work happens when different voices collaborate as equals.
Our Promise
We are grassroots-grown and impact-driven. Our shared passion for the performing arts and unwavering commitment to support and amplify excellence in a culturally diverse artistic landscape, by ensuring that talent is nurtured regardless of background or circumstance, has fueled the creation of this groundbreaking nonprofit.
